Summary: The Local Government Training Institute (LGTI), Hombolo was established by Act of Parliament No. 26 of 1994 as a body corporate. The Institute, which is located at Hombolo Village-some 42 Kms from down town Dodoma Municipality, was established to serve as a practical-oriented ?professional centre for demand-driven training, research, advisory and consultancy services in the field of Local Government administration and management. The major role of the Institute is to facilitate the processes of decentralization by devolution, good governance, quality service delivery, poverty reduction and promotion of social and economic well being of the people countrywide.
