LOCAL GOVERNMENT’S SECOND ANNUAL MEETING OF ENGINEERS
The second annual meeting of engineers from President’s Office-Regional Administration and Local Government (PORALG), Regional Secretariats (RSs) and Local Government Authorities (LGAs) will take place at Ruaha University in Iringa from 19th to 23rd September 2005.The second annual meeting of engineers from President Office-Regional Administration and Local Government (PORALG), Regional Secretariats (RSs) and Local Government Authorities (LGAs) will take place at Ruaha University in Iringa from 19th to 23rd September 2005. The meeting will among other things discuss and review the general status of road maintenance works in the LGAs for the just ended Financial Year 2004/05. The engineers are also expected to share experiences on road maintenance works implemented in their Councils in that period. The engineers will further be introduced to the new programmes which are coming up within PORALG. The participants will include 121 engineers from the Councils, 21 from the RSs and those from the Road Fund Management Unit (RFMU) at PORALG headquarters in Dodoma.
